Wicked Blog Hop

Tic toc-tic toc... it's time!
Wicked??  Did someone say "Wicked"??

Now with a title like that, you know I have to be in on it too!!!  I love wickedness!!   After all my profile pic proves that point!!!  And then there are those boys of mine, just ask them, who was the wicked-ess mother of all...Well on second thought, don't ask em!  Cause I don't want to know!!!!  :-)

 Here's my "Wicked" block...

A little "witchy poo" getting ready to cook up, a few kids!!  Oops, I mean cook up a meal, for a few kids.  And again I repeat, don't go ask'n my boys about my wickedness! Ummm...or, I'll get  you my little pretty!!!!

 :-)

Now, on a more serious note.
I was delighted to stumble across this fabulous Australian website called
 (yes it's linked for you)
They have the greatest line of fusible applique patterns
and machine embroidery designs, like the guy up top.
Loads of great details, and some really outrageous designs.
I just went crazy over there.
Best yet, it's very-very affordable! I have no affiliation with them at all, just a very happy customer, who can't help but share!

My block, is a part of this fun pattern.
Don't cha just love it?  I reduced it a bit to make a 12" square.
It kind of reminds me on the 7 Dwarfs!
Only, with a twisted Witch in it...
"Witch" don't ya know, is why I love it!

Heck I even love the embroidery they have to match!

The Quiltery, offers their patterns individually or by joining the "club".
I have to tell you, the club prices are great! They are in Australian currency, but for those who live in the US, like me, the rate of exchange was around $5 when it was all done. A bargain by any means!
Oh, and by the way they are having a Halloween Spooktacular sale over there right now but only till the 31st! Check them out!

I see they have put up a brand new pattern, in the Pattern club!
I am so bummed that I didn't find it in time to get it done for this hop!
:-(
But you know what I will be working on very soon, for next year!

Now for being so great, and joining me today, I have a bit of a "wicked" offering for you!
An "All Hallows Bash" sampler from Connecting Threads!
You can create your very own wickedness with these guys.
But it's only a short stack...
so, I am gonna throw in a Wicked potholder too.
I know you want those Ghastlie faces staring at you in your kitchen!
So be a follower, and leave me a comment about your favorite "Wicked" or "Ghastlie" thing to do for the season! I am going to be picking a winner Wednesday. So don't delay!

A big thanks to Madame Samm for her endless inspiration and dedication to our favorite blog, and to the Wonderful - Wicked -Wendy, who has outdone herself in organizing us all! We couldn't do it, without you girls!

So there you have it, all me "wickedness" for the day!

I wish you the most Wicked-ess of Halloweens ever!

 Now off with you...
Cause you need to visit my other "wicked" quiltin friends.

  2. Your block is fantastic! You did a wickedly good job on it. Does your witch's hat get in the way when you are sewing? Great and generous giveaway...thanks for the chance!

  3. Love your block and all of the really cute patterns! My favorite ghastlie thing to do is dress up really creepy and scare my kids...they're old, so it's okay :) Oh, and I'm a follower :)

  4. I love your wicked block you did an amazing work. As we don´t have Halloween in Sweden, I have no Halloween favorite things to share.
But I have made a Halloween witch for this bloghop, that I shared to you 23rd of October.
Thanks for sharing your lovely work

  5. Your block looks like it stepped out of a fairytale! I love it. Love all the patterns too! We don't do Halloween in The Netherlands, so I don't have a favourite for this holiday.....I am willing to offer my "carnaval" (the dutch version of Mardi Grass)though......since we are talking about wicked here!

  6. I love 'The Foresters' thank you for the link - I shall be checking it out!
Here in the UK Halloween isn't a big deal but we are going to a friend's surprise 50th birthday party!
    I'm a happy follower!

  7. What a great block and thank you for the link, I'll enjoy checking it out. Although Halloween isn't as huge in the UK we still enjoy a little trick or treating, pumpkin carving and decorating - I like watching my children carve the pumpkins and seeing all the little ones dressed up in their finest wickedness :)

  8. Oh that is so cute - I love the little mushroom man! Thanks for sharing.

  9. I really love your block. The pattern set looks good too. Thanks for the shop link. I would really like to be in the draw for your give away. I don't celebrate Halloween (other than the block I made) and we are too far out of town for trick or treaters so my pathetic wicked act will be to make some pumpkin muffins and eat them all myself.

  10. Wow! I love your block! Great job!

  11. ahhhh you wicked wicked little thing you!! I bet the kids will be screaming and running for their parents skirt tails when they come for your candy. lol

My sister and I dressed up 2 years ago.. I was the witch and she was the ghost... We had a black wash pot FULL of candy to entice the children and when they stepped up on the porch we set off some steam coming from under the pot and I started cackling.... You just had to have been there... We are hoping that we can do it again next year.. :)

  12. Your block is awesome. I will go check out that site when I am done hopping. Looks like some cool stuff. My favorite thing is the carving of the pumpkins. Another chance to be creative for me. Thanks for the giveaway as well.

  13. Thought that block looked familiar. I had found "The Quiltery" awhile back and love their patterns. The Foresters was one of the patterns I purchased but haven't had a chance to make yet.

I usually love decorating for Halloween but can't this year for health reasons.

Thanks for the chance to win.

  15. Your block is really wonderful, you wicked one. The giveaway is just Ghastlie good. My favorite wicked thing to do is to decorate way more than any of my neighbors. But sadly sdany made me put it all away early. Its looking like there won't be any trick or treating this year for my little ones.

    ReplyDelete
  16. What a great block! And the whole pattern is just adorably wicked! No T & T here with Sandy rolling in - we're just hoping the neighborhood is still here after she leaves.

Have a great wicked halloween !!

  19. Love your block! Thank you for the pattern shop link. I will be sure to visit. Per your Giveaway, I am a Follower and my "most wicked" moment was slipping into my sewing room with a nice glass of wine. Nice wine, not much sewing!

  20. I browse the Quiltery all the time but am too intimidated by the intricate applique. I love your block, very detailed. Thanks for the giveaway. I like to enjoy the weather this time of year.

  22. What a cute block! I'm afraid that my most 'wicked' activity this time of year involves the bags of candy that I buy early and have to replace because they've somehow disappeared by Halloween!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Really cute quilty things that you have shared. Something "wicked", hmmmmm, haven't really had anything this year that is "wicked". (Not really in my nature to be "wicked".) Thanks for the great giveaway.

  25. Oh - I was almost your 600th follower - awesome! My ghastlie Halloween thing to do, eh? That would have to be dressing up for our Halloween Carnival and running the Cake Walk. Although I haven't done it since my kids were little. And now they call it the Harvest Fair (have to be politically correct, don't cha know?) I don't have any Ghastlie fabric around my house, so I'd love to have that little potholder. Happy Halloween!

Would love to win your awesome Ghastlie potholder. I just love the Ghastlies.
DH and I dress up like wizards (think Harry Potter capes, glasses, broomsticks) to give out treats to the neighborhood kids.

  32. Love your blocks. They are very well done. Back when I worked in the high school kitchen, I had a big rat in a trap that was a motion detector and would jump and squeel. Scared the football boys more than the girls. HEHEHEHeheh

  41. I'm a follower! I think the most wicked I can possibly be is to sleep in past 7:00 AM! When you have a toddler there's no sleep for the weary! Thank you for showing us your super cute Ghastlies! I love them!!!!

  42. Wicked indeed! My favorite thing to do is dress up all in black, tease my long hair, paint my showing skin a dastardly green, takevout my bridge, and sit patiently in front of a cauldron waiting for trick or treaters. This year however my grandchildren asked me to be the grandma to their Red Riding Hood group. So no green skin and a flannel nightgown instead. Oh well!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Very wicked stuff this morning--I love those blocks and quilt! Thanks for the link. My favorite thing to do is dress up as wicked as I can, which is quite similar to my regular clothes and make-up. LOL

  75. Betty from That other blog here: What a wicked post! I love your creepy block! Witches can be so cute, but wicked! Thanks for the link to the Quiltery and all that giveaway! Because of your question, I had to read all of the comments! No one does as wicked a thing as I do, except Rosemary and Val and Evelyn: Because I'm on a weight loss program, eating a few snicker fun bars would be totally wicked! I may sing a wicked song at the end!! Heeee!

  89. I am an Aussie and I love The Quiltery site. Ironically, it is situated near where I used to live on the Gold Coast and I never knew about them until I moved 5 hours north.
Now, with the membership club I have all the club patterns and they also do freebies every month, both applique and machine embroideries.
So happy to see you give the site a plug.
