Dieting (Well Maybe)

I found the perfect way to start changing those eating habits.
Have you seen these new Cherry Cola Oreo's?
I love trying all the new flavors.
This one caught my eye in the store, then
managed to make it's way into my cart somehow.
Honestly, I just saw that it was a new flavor that I hadn't tried.
Big surprise...
When you bite into it, the cherry part pops on your tongue.
It was so funny to watch every one's reaction to it.
It was a bit reminiscent of the "Pop Rocks" my boys loved.

For the full effect, you need to let it sit on your tongue to let the magic begin.
It got me to thinking...
This really is the perfect diet food.
Your supposed to chew slowly and savor your foods.
I wonder if this is Oreo's way,
of making us start changing the speed, at which we eat?
If that's the case...
I'm all in!
LOL

Sadly these are a limited item, and the store I got mine at were out.
When my youngest called to see if I needed anything at the store,
I told him to pick up a couple of bags if he found them.
This is what me brought me...
He bought them out.
:-)
Anyone want to come over for a cookie???

It's a "Wild" Life BOM

It's June 1 and there's a new block to share.
This month our friend Pat from "Life in the Scrapatch"
has done a stellar job, on this new block.
Don't "whooooooo" agree with me?
:-)
If this isn't just the cutest thing I've ever seen!
I did make one little change, from Pat's design.
I  love me "some" mushrooms, not only to eat but to hunt for.
So I made a little "mushroom" forest on my block.
It was an easy change using the bush pattern pieces.

If you think I'm kidding about loving mushrooms...
 Here's some proof!  LOL!!
Oh and these are definitely "NOT" for eating!
Just a few of my many mushroom photos.
You can't find "shrooms" like these around here...
Nope, I have to visit my Alaska friends to get photos like these.
Just another reason, why I love Alaska!
:-)
Ok...I got a little excited and side tracked. Must be time for another trip!
You can find Pat's fabulous addition to "Wild Life"
Remember it's free for the month of June only.
After that it will be available for a small fee.
I'm loving where this BOM is going!

A big shout out to "Island Batik" for sponsoring me with these gorgeous fabrics.
They are all from the basics and blenders line, which is available all the time.
No more searching for "just a little more" to finish a project.

Thanks to Amy at "Sew Incredibly Crazy" for hosting this BOM
You can find links to all the blocks

A big thanks to my fellow designers

Carol from "Just Let Me Quilt"

Make sure you post your finished block on our Facebook page.
There are monthly prizes we draw for!

One more thing...
I was blown away with all the "Bear Paw" blocks you
 stitched and shared last month.
Give yourself a big round of applause, cause you knocked it out of the ball park!
You all "ROCK"

What is GDPR and what does it mean?

General Data Protection Rule
And it's reeking havoc with our comments.
It's all about security, and I get it.
BUT...that doesn't mean I can't be irritated, that as a society, we are driven to this.
Basically, it's not OK for anyone to see your avatar, name, email address...
All the things we use, for not only responding and communicating
with our blogging buddies, but also for our give-aways!
I'm not sure just how this will effect Rafflecopter,
which is what many of us use for give-aways.

Just so you know...
My little personal blog, about my love of quilting, does not, has and will never
share personal information with anyone else.
I'm approaching my 10 year blog-iversary, and this is making me so sad.
:-(
I've met so many wonderful people across the globe,
who love quilting as much as I do.
I'm still here, and I will do my best to keep up the communications, with all of you.
I can't bare the thought of not sharing a good tale or quilting woe with you.
HAHAHAHA
Carol at Just Let Me Quilt wrote a post, on a bit of a work around for now...
I've linked her post for you.

Basically for now, if you check the Notify me box in the lower right corner,
I will get an email. The issue for me is, I have always used AOL.
Yes, I'm one of those old school users.
LOL!!
I've had AOL since the dark ages and have grown with it.
I find it much easier to navigate than these new platforms!
Now it's going to my Gmail account. I've tried to change that and failed.
"Sew" I have to figure out how to access Gmail on my desktop.
(Can you see me rolling my eyes here???)
I'm sure it's not nearly as difficult as I want to make it!
;-)

This is what I see, when I post the comment.
I still see my avatar, and my screen name.
Maybe because I am not an open ID user???

This is a screen shot of what it looks like when I leave a comment on Carols post.
This is the email I got back...
I'm still a noreply blogger I see?????
NOTE:You do not want to check email follow-up comments,
as you will get them for everyone who comments on the post.
I was testing things here.

But there is the scoop, if you have felt ignored.
We are trying here! No thanks to GDPR!

On a happier note...
I'm working on my "Fabulous Freebie" blog hop project.
I've still have some openings.
Would you like to join in?
All you need is to show off a fabulous "free" pattern, or tutorial you found online.
You must link it with a current and working link, and give credit where credit is due.

Email your info to Calicojoan@aol.com
