Alice in Wonderland (counted cross stitch).

The adventures of Alice in Wonderland continue,
with this cute little Cheshire Cat.

This wonderful stitchery's are from Brooks Books.
You can find more of them right

While I'm still stitching away on my Alice characters,
I've been very busy with project to share soon.
Very Very busy we can just say!
;-)

Next up for me is the Royal Gardener.
He will be number 6, of the set of 12.
I guess I need to reread the story to find out just
why a gardener has a paint can in hand???

:-)

Alice in Wonderland

I've been counting away...
Sometimes we just need a diversion for quilting.
This is my guilty pleasure.

They're all so stinkin' cute...
but the Mad Hatter has to be my favorite so far

It's really just too hard to choose though.

Here's the lineup, you decide.

If you remember awhile back,

I finished the Queen of Hearts.

My collection is growing.
I just started the Cheshire Cat last night.
;-)

If you love these as much as I do,
your gonna love that they are actually on sale right now.
Until Saturday 8/6 at 11:59pm
You can order the entire set or the last half of the set
for a whopping 50% off.
Now that's a DEAL!

Check it out right

I'm no affiliate, but "Brooke's Books" stitcheries are just
too cute, not to share.
There is a Wizard of Oz set that's calling my name.

No, I can't even think about it until
Alice is complete!
Who says I have no will power.
Maybe...
LOL!!

Queen of Hearts

Queen of Hearts!   Yes, I've been smitten ever since I saw these adorable designs from "Brooks Books".

With the opening of the "Alice in Wonderland" movie a couple of weeks ago, they had a sale.
Did someone use the "S" word?
I was on it!
LOL!!!

I downloaded it right away and started stitching.
I just couldn't seem to put it down.
But whew...this old age thing sure has its drawbacks.
There are a couple of tools that are a must for me.

Clip on Magnifiers.
They are fantastic. Way better than that goofy thing
that hangs on my neck.

This wonderful battery operated flexible light.
My sewing buddy Joi, gave us all one for our retreat.
It's great for stitching on dark cloth,
especially when using black thread.

Now I'm on to the the rest of the "cast".

:-)

Strangely enough, I've found that it's been great physical therapy too.
My thumb muscle hasn't been the same ever since I broke my wrist.
Who knew that counted cross stitch would be the key.
Daily it seems to be getting better.
Whoo hoo!

You can check out Brooks Books Etsy site

I'm in trouble again...
I just found these guys!

Will this madness ever end!
LOL!!

2015 Small SAL

Last year I reacquainted myself with counted cross stitch. It had been years...but I fell in love with it all over.  So this year, I signed on for Stitching Lotus's small SAL (Stitch A Long), and I am delighted to say that I have completed my January project.

Here he is...
Snowman Keepsake
He was originally designed for plastic canvas, but as you can see
Aida cloth works great too!

I found this little guy while surfing Pinterest.
This one from Just Cross Stitch can be found right

He found his home, on my new fabric basket.

Connie over at Free Motion By the River
has a fabulous tutorial on these.
You can find that right HERE

These baskets are just the cutest and easiest things to make.
So versatile and so easy to make in different sizes.
This one actually holds those square boxes of Kleenex,
or tissues I guess we should say!
;-)

Thanks Heather, for inspiring me to join in on your SAL this year.
I am looking forward to 11 more mini projects!
Whoo hoo, I might even get an early start on my Christmas gifts this year!

Thanks for stopping by and make sure you visit my fellow stitchers!
You can find links for their projects right

Heck while your there, join in with us...
The year is young!
:-)
