It officially came off my long arm, 37 seconds before the ball drop on New Years Eve.
And I enjoyed every drop, of that glass of wine it took, to get it to that point!
:-)
It will soon be in it's new owners hands!
The new year brings me new challenges. (never a dull moment) But I am so looking forward to them. I will be assisting in moderating the Quilted Table Yahoo Group. I've long been a member, and have seen the group go thru changes, a lull in activity, and an interest in revitalizing the group. My good friend Sharon is the new group owner and Tamera, her wonderful side kick has been working hard at getting things rolling again. I am there to support them both, in whatever means I can. :-) Don't be scared! LOL!!!! We promise to show you a good time this year!
For those who might not be familiar with the group, we focus on personal challenges monthly, by posting free online quilt patterns for table runners/toppers. We all enjoy seeing the different finished projects. Swaps are also a fun and completely voluntary part of the program. In the past we have had quarterly swaps. Its a great way to make a new friend and share your talents! Stop by and visit us over at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/quilted_table/
On to the next project... Madame Samm has me hook, line and sinker. Her "In your Words" blog hop from Jan 7-16th is rapidly approaching. Linda over at Buzzing and Bumbling has been working overtime, getting us all in line and ready. Bless her! You know it has to be a challenge to organize so many of us, but she is doing a marvelous job.
You won't want to miss this hop. I have something...Well now, I really can't tell you too much. But lets just say, it has the potential of getting me into big trouble!!! hehehehe You'll will have to wait until the 10th, when it's my turn to post!
Till then happy stitchin!
Whew!! So glad you finished the quilt before the ball dropped. It looks gorgeous too.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you showed us the finished quilt. I felt for you on all the "mishaps" you had with it. I am awaiting your word quilt. My goal this year is to not just follow, but comment at least once a week on all the blogs I read. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy you got that "trouble" quilt finished in time, lol. It's gorgeous, as is everything you do. But not as "gorgeous" as that potholder you sent me for Christmas, lol. I keep staring at him under the tree. I think I might have to take him to the hospital to keep me company during the couple of long boring nights I'll be there. "Course, he might keep my blood pressure a little elevated, but I'm sure the nurses will enjoy him. HeeHee.
ReplyDeleteI've been a lurker member at the Quilted Table group for the past year and on eof my goals is to be more active so glad that you will be there too. I would not have had your patience with this quilt but it certainly paid off!
ReplyDeleteTrouble??? YOU? Never!(Ok...I lie!)
