Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice

Oh what a week it's been...
My computer crashed last week and had to go in to be repaired.
I now know,  if I was stranded on a desert island and had to make a decision between food, water, chocolate or a computer, I would likely sell my soul for the computer and a generator!
LOL!!!
It was the worst week of my life I swear. I had no idea just how connected to it I had become.

anyway...back to "Pumpkin Spice" here...

This little mini published last week of the Thermoweb blog.
Using these Thermoweb products, makes this sweet little 12"x12" mini fast and easy to make.

It's a great stash and scrap buster, too!
The FREE pattern can be found on the Thermoweb blog

The pattern is printer friendly, which makes it perfect for HeatNBond EZ Print Lite or HeatNBond®EZ Print Featherlite. It comes in two different weights, EZ Print Lite and EZ Print Featherlite for multi-layer projects.
No more tracing, just pop a sheet into your printer and hit the print button.

It's a huge time saver and you'll be stitching before you know it.

We are just a couple of weeks away from Carla's "Music" blog hop!
Oh yeah baby...I've be rehearsing my song for weeks. :-)
On second thought... maybe I'll just save you the pain and just keep on singing in the shower to myself!
But I will see you at the hop!

It's a Wrap for the Gremlins Goblins and Ghouls OH My Blog Hop

Day 5 boo-loggers ended this hop in a big way!

Melisa delighted us with her "Happy Jack" design and shared a great tutorial on how to make him. The photos of her Halloween world would make anyone's heart swoon!

Charlene taught me a lesson today. Have you ever heard of Notan? Well, I sure didn't but I love it! What a fun project with striking results. Then there is her Frankie...he just calls my name.

Bea shared a beautiful fall quilt for her daughter who is 18 today.

Wendy got a well deserved "side-eye" from her kitty with her projects. While "Wilbs" may not have been happy, it brings tons of Halloween joy to me!

Joan...that's me, I wrapped up the hop with my assortment of Halloween 2022 additions. I am very lucky to have friends who "get" me and have helped me add to my addiction. LOL!!

It's been another wonderful hop and I want to thank all my blogging friends for participating and making it s very special Halloween.

Before I sign off, I want to tell you all, that we have heard your concerns about the new format for blog hops next year. Yes, we were going to limit it to 20 participants, but your resounding response made us stop and pause...
You're the backbone of our hops success and we don't take that for granted. While our hops will only be  4 days a week next year. Monday through Thursday, we won't be limiting the number of participants. Within limits that is. LOL!! I don't see 100 a day being feasible... Just kidding!
We are changing the name up still. They will be challenges...because after all, we do challenge each other monthly and you rise to that occasion, every time. We will be hopping around as usual, just with a fresh new name.
"SEW IT-SHOW IT" will be looking for bloggers each month who want to meet our challenges and share their creations. Giveaways just might/will be included too!
If you have never participated and are interested, just reach out and we will help you in anyway we can.
They really are easy and you meet the nicest people along the way!

Thought for the day...

See you next month on Carla's...

And in December with Carol's

It's my Day on the Gremlins Goblins and Ghouls Oh My! Blog Hop

It's my day and I'm so happy to share my Halloween delights with you.

First off, I have to share my newest acquisition!
Is this just not the cutest pin cushion?
When my Facebook friend Bobbie, posted that she had made these,
I just had to have one.
The detail is just amazing, photos don't do it justice. I think it's going to have to be one, that is left out year round! She has a Facebook group...
She is quite the quilter/crafter extraordinaire!

This is "Autumn Acres" by J. Wecker Frisch.

There's a story behind it too...
Last year I went to Las Vegas and took a class at a shop that Carol Swift was teaching. This quilt was hanging in the shop and I went bonkers over it. Carol actually talked me out of buying the kit, because we all had sooooo many Halloween projects already. I'm really not usually dis-waded so easily.
I just couldn't stop thinking about it when I got home and gave her grief all the time for it. LOL!!
We met up again in Utah for the "Garden of Quilts" show and somehow, someone snuck a fat quarter stack of the Riley Blake "Old Maid" fabrics for this quilt in my bag of things to take home. Just who could that have been Carol?????

I just love this line of sewing theme, Halloween fabrics.

I tried out a new quilt pantograph as well on this guy.

It's "Petite Feathers" from Urban Elementz. There is something about those feathers in the background that give it a creepy Halloween feel!

Next up...
"Belinda's Brownstone"

My friend Ruth gave me these fabrics, just because she knows how much I love "Alexander Henry" fabrics. There is a free tutorial on making these shadow blocks, online at MaDan's Quilting, you can find HERE.
It's so easy but I had the hardest time cutting into these girls. LOL!!
The ghastly green is also an "Alexander Henry" fabric. It just rang my Halloween heart and I had to go back and get more before it was gone.

I've never really been able to walk into a quilt shop, without finding something I can't live without, and of course that trip was no different. The clock was a ticking for this hop, but...

...I saw this bench pillow pattern and it was game over.
This is the "Boo Crew" designed by JoAnn Hoffman.

OH, those sweet little Gnomes faces.
These are all my additions for Halloween 2022.

Wishing you all a very...not so scary Halloween!

Make sure you visit my fellow BOO-loggers today. They are waiting for you!

A note from Wendy at "Pieceful Thoughts"... her blog server has been having issues lately. It's up and down. Tech support is working on it, but if you are not able to access her blog, please check back later.

Just a note on my pumpkin...Have you ever heard of a "Wolf Pumpkin"? I sure never had, but I googled it when I got home, and sure enough. I picked mine up at the pumpkin patch I took little Missy to. It's a whopping 27 pounds and the stem is 11" in diameter. I think I am going to try my hand at growing these big boys next year!

Gremlins Goblins and Ghouls OH My Blog Hop - Day 4

Day 4 and our bloggers did score!
(That's one for Team Halloween)
LOL!!

Brenda got us into the spirit this year with her oh so cute pumpkin and owl pin cushions. Her "Boo Crew" wall hanging and Snails Tail quilt are so bright and cheery. It just makes my heart happy!

Sharon and Susan our MS P Design team delighted us with so many of their Halloween designs. If you can't find the perfect project here, you aren't looking hard enough. Oh but wait, those placemats...Everyone gruesome guest needs one of these for Halloween!

Lynn shared her sweet little Gnome Witch who's looking for the perfect broom. And well, we try not to talk about relationships...but she let it out of the bag, that she was having one with Frankie! LOL!! She also shared a sweet little quiltie and a Halloween apron.

Debbie shared a crazy fun Halloween decoration in her town. A huge tent full of skeletons listening to a band and playing bingo. Now that is some Halloween vision! She went on to share 3 of her sweet little Halloween quilties. My heart be still!

Sandie delighted us with her glow in the dark fabrics and embroideries. Nothing makes Halloween more fun, than things that glow in the dark.

Tomorrow these boo-loggers are waiting to share.

I got an email from Wendy at "Pieceful Thoughts" yesterday saying her blog server has been having issues lately. It's up and down. Tech support is working on it, but if you are not able to access her blog, please check back later.

Gremlins Goblin and Ghouls Oh My Blog Hop Day 3

Day three brought us more Halloween Glee!

Elizabeth delighted us today with 2 more of her Halloween crew mugrugs and has generously offered free patterns for them.

Vicki rocked the Halloween decorations with a tour of her home. I want to live in her Halloween Heaven!

Carol captured my Halloween soul with all her fun projects! I love the pumpkin with scrabble tile teeth. And her towels, and wool work and ohhhh, I spied her Hagathas's House quilt from our Cackling Stitches Group BOM last year!

Danice brought me back to years gone by with her paper mache haunted house. Of the fun I used to have with paper mache. Her decorations look fabulous on her candy corn table runner!

Beth's haunted sewing room was a perfect background story to her post. Oh and her Queen of Ween rocks Halloween. LOVE LOVE LOVE your quilting too Beth.

What can I say...our bloggers have outdone themselves again!

Tomorrow we have more in store...

Don't forget you can follow along and see all the Halloween project on our "Pinterest" board.

Gremlins Goblins and Ghouls OH My Blog Hop - Day 2

Day two brought us more Halloween joy!
Treats, no tricks from this great bunch...

Carla broke out her scraps and turned them into an absolutely delightful quilt and created a couple of matching pumpkins to go along with them. I do love scrap projects!

Leah shared the cutest little pouches she make to put those Halloween treats in. I want to go trick or treating at her house. LOL!!  Then there are the bats she is working on! They are just the cutest.

Karrin made my applique lovin heart sing today with her adorable "Tired of Trickin" quilt and Gnome pillow. I see more projects in my future!

Carol treated us with her sweet Trick or Treat bags, and even shared a fun idea for recycling her old Accuquilt die cutting mats.

Selina shared the sweetest stitchery, she finished. It was designed by Elizabeth Coughlin, one of our fabulous bloggers. She also has been busy with her cutting machine and made the some fun Halloween cards!

Halloween joy in all forms...There were quilts and pillows and cards and bags...
Something for everyone!
Tomorrow these 5 bloggers will delight us with their creations. So don't miss out!

Gremlins, Goblins and Ghouls OH MY! Blog Hop Day 1

It's here, the day we have been waiting a whole year for...
and our bloggers did not disappoint.

Carol showed us just how to use a panel print in a way that every Gremlin, Goblin and Ghoul would go crazy for!
Denise told us all about the McPike Mansion then designed the perfect one herself. Now just how fun is that?
Daryl delighted us with bright and cheery quilt that made my heart sing! Oh how I love Halloween!
Julia showed us a way to use a rainbow die that never in a million years, would have crossed my mind. Best yet, she shared just how to do it too. I want to make this fun Halloween mini!
Kris shared a tutorial on making a "Boo-ti-ful"  Halloween wall hanging. It's so much fun and yes, I see my "must do" project list growing here!

Oh so many bright and cheerful Halloween goodies today!
It makes me wish Halloween was everyday.

Tomorrow we have 5 more bloggers who are ready to scare, I mean share.
