Wishing You a Happy Easter

With Easter rapidly approaching, I put together this sweet little
 36"x39" quiltie, last week.

This is "Easter Delivery" by Angie Padilla.
The top left block will be me after eating all the chocolate bunnies I can get my hands on tomorrow.

I am still having a love affair with my embroidery machine and found the cutest designs at

If you are a machine embroiderer, you better shake your bunny tail and hop on over to her website and take advantage of her anniversary sale. There are only a few days left.

Everything but her "in the hoop" and  "edge to edge" designs are included.
Yesssss... I may have shopped more than once and found way more than 12 things I just had to have.
LOL!!

This little guy is one of her, not on sale "in the hoop" designs.
Is he just the cutest? He even comes with 3 options of things he can hold.

Greeting cards are my jam...and I love hers, that are stitched on cardstock.
I like to applique them on a fabric mini quilt.

Wishing you all, a very blessed Easter!

 til next time...

It's My Day...Give it a Whirl Blog Hop

The winds of March have blown in and we are spinning here. In fact a storm blew through last week that dumped over 2 feet of snow in some parts of the city. Thankfully were I live, we only saw about a foot and that melted almost as fast as it come down.

My twirly-whirly project was finished, but getting a decent pictures was a challenge.

You can see our "stick to the ground", snow total after 2 days. LOL!!
I am definitely not complaining, although I am one of those crazy people who actually love to shovel snow.

This picture was taken the day after the big storm
The winds were a blowing...but I  managed to a decent shot, thanks to my quilt holder and his wife, taking a moment from a 40th birthday party and a nice sunny day.
Egads...my baby is 40??? That makes me ancient. Maybe them asking me all the time, if I was the one who invented the wheel isn't so far off track!

This project was inspired by something I saw online and was a great place to use my hand dye fabrics, that I have hoarded for years.
Eye roll here!

The pinwheels on the border, are from clipart that I enlarged.

Lastly, this little "whirlwind" loves getting into my fabric. We take turns making quilts on each other.
You gotta get em hooked when they are young.
LOL!!

So there you have what was whirling in my head this month.
Check out my fellow bloggers and see what they have come up with...

March - Bona Lisa's Sweater Emporium BOM

Yee Haw!!!
This month Carla has designed the cutest little cowboy sweater for Bona!
"Take No Bull" by "Creatin' in the Sticks"
Every witchy little skeleton needs a shirt like this!
HAHAHA
Check out her blog for more information HERE

How does our Bona Lisa's Sweater Emporium BOM work?
It runs from January 1st through August 31st.
All block releases happen on the first day of each month. They can be conveniently found on our Cackling Stitches Facebook page HERE.
They will be pinned under the "Featured" tab to make them easy to locate.

On the first day of each month, we release a block pattern (sometimes it's more than one)
that is free for the entire calendar month. After that, those blocks go into our individual
ETSY shops where you can purchase them for $2 each.
If you just can't wait, the entire pattern can be purchased in my ETSY shop for $15.

We hope you appreciate the time we put into creating this BOM and understand that we keep
the costs to a minimum for you. We ask that you respect our copyrights and do not share the
pattern with others. You're welcome to direct your friends to our Cackling Stitches Group
Facebook or any of our ETSY shops so they can get their own patterns.

January Blocks

"Bona Lisa" by MooseStashQuilting

"In Vest" by "Creatin' in the Sticks"

"Repulsive Ruffled Sweater by "Just Let Me Quilt"

February Blocks

"Ye Ole Homestead" by "MooseStashQuilting"

"Bona's Kickin' it up Boots" by "Just Let Me Quilt"

You can choose to make the entire quilt, or just a wall hanging, the choice is yours! Either way, you will be able to collect many different "Sweaters" throughout the BOM, for your sweet skeleton.  If you are making your sweaters like paper doll clothes, just fuse the sweaters onto a piece of felt. If you have ever wanted to become a designer, give it a try and design and share a sweater with us. We can't wait to see what you dream up.
