Just the 2 new blocks for the Cackling Stitches 2022 "Creepy Critters" BOM

"Tabitha" the witch rides in for a visit...

...as Boo the Black Cat, a Carla creation,  finds himself in trouble.
You can read more on her block HERE
If you haven't joined in already, what are you waiting for?

Here's how the BOM works. It's a Facebook group free block of the month, that runs from February 1 to August 30th. On the first day of the each month, we will release block patterns that will be free until the next months block(s) is released. Once new blocks are released, the previous month's block(s) will no longer be free. They will be available in our Etsy stores at a cost of $2.

On September 1st the entire pattern will be combined and sold in our Etsy stores for $10.
We hope you appreciate the time we put into creating this BOM quilt and understand that we are keeping the costs to a minimum. If you are quick to get the patterns during the month they are released, they are free and there would be no cost to you. As always we ask that you do not share the pattern. Signs of Spring and a Brand New Hop

Those signs of spring are starting to show and I think I can safely say,  we have had enough of the  cabin fever stuff.   So Carol decided, what better time to announce the sign-up for her June blog hop.

For this hop we are stitching, with a summer theme in mind. Sunglasses, beach items, sunny skies, and or yellow colors. It doesn't have to be a quilt, maybe a tote bag or a toy... Let your mind run wild!

Time in a Bottle Blog Hop, It's My Day!

Welcome to my day to share, in the "Time in a Bottle" blog hop.

Carol at "Just Let Me Quilt" dreamed up this fun hop, to show all the ways you can use "hour glass" blocks and the timing couldn't have been better for me. I had just started the Bonnie Hunter "Rhododendron" mystery quilt. There are lots of little hour glass blocks...lets just say over 200 of them little buggers!

For a change I even managed to keep up with this mystery weekly, for almost the entire time.  Cutting, stitching, more cutting, more stitching. If there is one thing Bonnie does better than anyone else I know, it's how she uses up the craziest and even some of the ugliest scraps I've seen, and comes up with the most beautiful quilts in doing so.

This is my "Rhododendron Trail" quilt.

If you look close, you will notice that all those hour glass blocks make up a secondary design, throughout the quilt.

This quilt is 83" x 96" and was so big, I really didn't have a good place to hang it, to show it off at it's best. Here it is hanging on my long arm rail prior to quilting it.

A simple overall quilting design and this baby is done.

Now hop on over and see what my fellow bloggers have in their Hour Glasses!
Be sure to leave them a little love while your there too.

You can find the full schedule

A big thanks to Carol, our hostess with the mostess! You rocked another fun hop for us all.
