Covid Preparedness

We've all see the outpouring of folks making masks
for the Covid-19 Pandemic that we are facing.
This is a pattern that was approved for a couple of our hospitals here.
Yes, we know they do not meet the CDC standards, but something
is certainly better than nothing.
If they get used that's great, if not...
that's even better.

You can sign up and find information for your area at
"Operation We Can Sew It"
With the help of a friend we have churned out 72 for a local hospital,
along with 12 for a medical clinic and 20 for a concrete company.
To date, I've made 216 yards of bias tape
Man, that's a lot of bias tape.
LOL!!!
My youngest jumped in and did a considerable amount of marking for pleats for me,
before he booted me off my machine so he could play!

But then...we got to thinking about my special "stash" of
Alexander Henry fabrics!
Even during a Pandemic, you need a little humor.
Just a little strategic fussy cutting...

and well, lets just say, we've had some fun with these!

"Sew" keep safe, wash your hands and hunker down for a few weeks.

A Round of Applause Please.

We wrapped up our hop yesterday with
Brenda, Theresa, Gail, Charlene, Nancy and myself
bringing you the last of the giggles for this hop.
I stop short of saying "last", because we all can take a moment to make
someone smile.
Quilters are just the best.
I have met the greatest folks online.
It took us a week to celebrate Worldwide Quilting Day,
but we all know in our hearts, that's 365 days a year

I can't thank you enough for making our hop, a success!
32 bloggers came together to make us laugh.
Who knew at the time it was in the planning stage, we would need a laugh
more than ever now.
While we are social distancing and maybe even quarantined,
it's more important than ever to keep our connections to each other.

Won't you take a moment to come up with something silly to do.
Take a photo and post it to Instagram with hashtag
#dailygigglefest
and keep those smiles coming!
You inspire me every day and I feel blessed to have
come to know this wonderful community.

It's my din-din, and I'm not sharing!
Actually this is more like me when I have to have my picture taken!

Just who does this stupid bird think he is?
Woa...that's what you mean by consequences?

Yep, there are just so many different things these expressions can say.
I do hope I've made you smile today.

Celebrating Worldwide Quilting Day

I'm celebrating Worldwide Quilting Day, with a throwback from 2013!

If you've been following the "Quilt Qwazy Queens" blog hops this week,
you know our theme this year is "Making Us Laugh".
There's never been a better time, to see a little humor in the world.
We are living through some crazy time right now, and I've apparently been cooped up too long.
 I'm thinking about mischief already!
LOL!!
Not that I would really go out and "tag" a building...but even us old broads can dream!
Yep...dream about grabbing those "rattle cans" and just going to town!
This fun pattern is from Jukebox Quilts.
It was a great way to play with a new technique to me, as
the quilt on the building is actually done with colored pencils.

Maybe we can all just sit back and do a little "tagging" in our
sewing rooms til this blows over.

I've been enlisted to help make masks this weekend.
One word to the wise. Every hospital has their own rules and regulations.
Check with them first before you start making anything.
Here in Denver, SCL Health System and Saint Joseph Hospital have
put out their own approved patterns with all the information included.

Please stay at home, keep safe and let this Covid-19 thing,
blow over so we can all go back to a normal life.
You know I might just want to go tag a building for real after all this.
HAHAHAHAHA
We are finishing up the last 2 day of the
QQQ blog hop on Monday and Tuesday.
Make sure you don't miss what my fabulous fellow bloggers
have come up with to entertain you!
