From the Heart Blog Hop

The winds of change are blowing and our attentions start moving from the fun Halloween festivities, to the approaching Christmas season. Carol brought us together to inspire each other, with ideas for gifts "From the Heart" and with plenty of time to get them stitched.

Thanks Carol!

My "From the Heart" project started out with some fun fabrics I found while shopping online. It's been a year...our ability to go out to shop and touch fabric has been very limited.
I was so excited when I stumbled on these fun fabrics.
A throwback to the Audrey Hepburn days, with messages that speak to my soul!
LOL!!
I knew right away they would be destine to become bags.

For that special BFF...

or the one who loves to share a bottle with you...

or the coffee drinker...
these prints make great gift bags, and something that can be used year round.

With the help of this little pattern...
and I do mean little...it's the tiniest pattern I've ever seen!

Not so, for this roomy 12" X 16" bag. Hosting 2 pockets on the inside
as well as a split pocket on the front.

Just fill them with your special friends favorites...
And let the holiday joy begin!

There are many more of my friends, with fabulous ideas as well.
Visit them all, and make this crazy year end, with something special
"FROM YOUR HEART"!

Halloween Hoppers Blog Hop

Welcome to my favorite time of the year...

...that bewitching time, when all our childlike silliness comes to life.  This year I was excited to find, the perfect pattern for the "witchy" little quilter that I am!

This is "Trick or Treat Retreat" from Pearl Louise Designs.

It's been a year, hasn't it?  Retreats have been cancelled all over the world...
So, why not just sew up your own retreat, to ease the pain!
These silly little witches have this sewing thing down, too.
Check out these quilt diva's!

Here's "Petal to the Metal"...full speed ahead!

"On Our Way"...looks a lot like me, all packed up for retreat!

"Pickup and Go"...oh don't we wish we could!

"Love Bug"...like 2 quilters could possibly go to a retreat with all their supplies
packed in a bug! hahahaha

"Flying Away"...my personnel favorite mode of transportation.

"Scootin' On"...this would be so much fun!

"Joy Riding"
I can't even lie, the first thing I thought of, was the Wizard of Oz.

LOL!!!

"Happy Campers"...4 machines for 3 quilters. That sound about right!

"Speedin' On"...she must be from a golf course community!

"One Step at a Time"
...there are some retreats I only wish I had a wheelbarrow,
to help me haul all my stuff to!

"Hot Rod"
When it's my time...I want a chair just like this!

Lastly "Haunted House" the perfect place for our Halloween Retreat!

My retreat quilt, was quilted with "Urban Elementz" "Sound Wave" pantograph.
A fast and fun, super easy design that lets your appliques be the center of attention.

HeatNBond®Lite makes those appliques a snap!

SEW...
Pearl oh Pearl...did you know we would all be "retreat deprived this year?
The timing for this BOM couldn't have been better.
I can't tell you when I've had so much fun, working on a quilt!

You can find this complete BOM pattern at Annie's Craft Store
(photo from Annie's)

Now, if this isn't enough for you...

Boo Sheet

Yes, you read it right, and it pretty much sums up how most of us are feeling
this year!

Covid has done it's best to zap our joy...but we aren't letting it get away unnoticed!
This little 21" x 21" quiltie will keep those memories alive for many years to come.
Hopefully that's not how long we are dealing with this stuff!

Using  HeatNBond®EZ Print Lite takes all the tracing work out of  your project.
Just pop a sheet in your printer and your ready to go.
All the pieces will print on just 1 sheet.
So grab your scraps and download your free pattern

What you gonna do, but laugh?

If you love this, you'll love our newest Facebook group

Carol, from "Just Let Me Quilt" and I have teamed up,
to bring you a 365 days a year, fun filled Halloween group.
You will find "Wicked  Wednesdays" which this was designed for,
a place to share all your wickedly wonderful Halloween projects
and coming in March of 2021, a free BOM.
