Mountain States

Been on a vacation that you want to remember? Nothing's better than a trip across the country thru quilts. That is just what this book has to offer.

Notice I have spiral bound my book? I love doing this to books that I am tracing patterns out of.  It allows the pages to lay flat. Any office supply should have what's needed to do it, and it's only a few dollars.

Being the Northwoods kind of girl that I am
I chose this one for my first quilt from this book.

There are so many fun ones though, that more are sure to come!

It's like a road trip with your quilts, from the comfort of your armchair! What more can you ask for?
Hey honey, bring we a glass of wine!
;-)
tee hee!

  2. Looks like a really fun book and a great idea! If you took a cross-country trip, you could pick a specific block from each state you travel through and have a there-and-back-again quilt! Love it!!

  3. Montani semper liberi? Mountaineers are always free - West Virginia girl transplanted to OKlahoma - my blood still runs blue and gold (maybe because my masters in from the University of Tulsa - nah - I think not) I love the book. I always thought about making a "state" quilt block of the states we visited - I wonder who would have gotten that quilt in the divorce. He didn't even ask for the quilts his grandmother made. HA HA - his son's girlfriend stole them later along with one my mother made, too that he never saw along with lots of other stuff. The DA let her walk. I hope he can stand a theft of over $50K to a druggie. I wonder what God will say to him when he dies. I'm bad - I often hope he says "Access denied." Yet, I want grace and mercy. How does that work? Nice quilt book and I love the spiral binding. Somehow, you always elicit memories from me with your posts. It's fun though. I have a warped sense of humor, too.
