Have a Latte Blog Hop

Hip hip hurray, its "Have a Latte" blog hop day!
Let the caffeinated celebration begin.

Right now, I think the only thing I might love more than my "coffee" fix is that darn
Dan DiPaolo, the designer of this fun line of fabrics.

Are these fabrics just gorgeous or what?
The rich warm colors, the great designs, and quality fabric...whoo hoo!
It made me want to run right out and buy a latte or two.
Thanks Dan and Clothworks for this delightful line!

Let me start by telling you that my kitchen was done in a coffee theme already.
After finishing my Tree Bird picnic table cloth, I knew that a
"coffee" table cloth for inside was going to be a must!

Making wonky blocks will all the different fabrics, was the perfect way to
bring all that color and fun into the room.
It makes me smile everyday!

I even recovered my chair pads!

And made this fun little runner from a pattern  called
"Coffee House Runner"
from Saginaw St Quilt Co.
You can find it right
What a perfect way to show off all those wonderful co-ordinating fabrics.

My new dining decor makes me soooooo very happy!

I have fallen in love with these dish mats.
This fun little border print was just the right size.

Recycling towels that don't match things anymore is a great way
to give em new life.

You can sandwich a couple of layers of scrap batting between
that towel and make a great oven mitt too!

All the embroidery's are from Embroidery Library.
You can see more of these gorgeous designs right
There are lots of stitches and color changes, but oh so worth it!

I mentioned before that my kitchen was in a coffee theme already.
This is my mixer cover...complete with a cafe latte chicken potholder!
LOL!!
You can see that this new line of fabrics blends in perfectly!
:-)

Wrapping this up...
This guy hangs on my kitchen wall.
He's made from recycled coffee bags.
I did this for the Bloggers Quilt Festival last year.

You can read all about him right

 Give-a-way you say?
Why of course!
Leave me a comment...share your special coffee moment, and I will have this
fun little hot pad/mug rug, and as always a little surprise or two!
(wink wink)

I'll be picking my winner on Friday April 24.
You can find the pattern for this fun little hot pad at
(it's linked for you)

Till then...

Make sure you stop in and visit my fellow bloggers today.
The caffeine rush has made for some spectacular creations!

I enjoy coffee any time of the day and when I smell a new pot brewing, I instantly start to relax. Now that's kind of funny since I know that I'll soon be consuming caffeine, but it doesn't matter. Anytime is coffee time for me. Thanks for sharing your awesome creations and for cheering us on with this fun hop. :-)

  53. That really is a cute coffee pad. And I love the table runner - wait and the Moose too! Okay, Okay I love them all. I just started bring coffee to work with me - I use an old worn out coffee cup thingy with a lid. It is supposed to keep it hot but it doesn't and the seal is old and pokes out and so it drips. My daughter said she would buy me a new one, but can't find any in our local stores. I started looking for one too, and I can't find one either. Is that crazy or what? Thanks for the hop.

  55. Thanks, Joan, for sharing all your projects. The fabric line is gorgeous and certainly looks great in your coffee kitchen. My mom made "coffee cake" which was a German concoction that was bread with a sugar/cinnamon topping. We dunked our coffee cake into coffee (it was about half milk and half coffee) most every week. My daughter now makes Grandma's coffee cake and she has Grandma's recipe down to perfection! Yummy.
