Top it Off with "Island Batik"

This month the "Island Batik" ambassadors are topping their tables.
The temperatures are dropping and fall is in the air.
It's my favorite time of the year.
This little guy brings the season indoors, in a big way!
 "Blooming Scarecrow"
This 17" x 50" topper is perfect for my dining room table.
Many of the fabrics I used were from the "Island Batik" basics and blenders line.
I love that they are always available when I need them.
"Aurifil" has threads to match any project!

I'm a Hobbs "Thermore" junkie.
I absolutely love this thin poly batting in my table toppers.
It quilts up nice and flat every time.
Thank you "Island Batik", "Hobbs", and "Aurifil".

  1. Years ago, my sister and I went on a Kentucky Shop Hop where we found a fall braided table topper. We shopped on Saturday, stayed in and sewed on Sunday while watching football, and finished this quilt-as-you-go project together. This is my favorite topper of all that I've made not only because it has my favorite fall colors but, more importantly. because we did it together.

  2. Look at this fun topper. You can't help but smile to look at those scarecrows. They are so happy. My favorite topper is a crocheted doily my mother-in-law made. It's 30" and round and perfect on a certain table. She spoiled me.

  8. My favorite fall topper is actually a winter table runner in blues and purples with snowflakes appliqued on top.

  9. My favorite fall topper is a reversible table runner my friend made for me. It has a beautiful autumn leave fabric design on one side and a Halloween-theme on the other side. I love your scarecrows, especially since we host a huge flock of crows in the trees across the road from us. It is darn cute!

  10. Your table topper is so cute. I love scarecrows - they remind me of growing up. Only our scare crows on the farm consisted of old clothing and aluminum pie tins! LOL Yours are much cuter!

  13. I haven't made enough toppers to pick a favorite. I do like one I made several months ago which has a candle appliquéd on it. I love your scarecrow topper.
