BeaQuilters Peanuts BOM #7

This month brings us, none other than the man himself.

The day was October 2, 1950
The guy is Charlie Brown!
The main character, an everyman with ever changing mood and grace.
Both befriended by all and ostracised by everyone
a loser yet leader who rises out of every downfall,
with shining hope and determination.
There is a lot we could all learn from him isn't there?

A big thanks to BeaQuilter
You can read more from here right HERE

Of course it's all possible thru the generosity of Alida and her wonderful
paper piecing patterns. See more of there right HERE

Don't forget that the Island Batik Ambassadors
"Our Favorite Things" blog hop is happening right now too.

Easter Party Quilt-A-Long Block 7

This week our block is probably the most involved of them all.
But if you've been working your way along, you have nothing to worry about.

 My absolute favorite block!

It sits on a background of none other than
Island Batik "Batter" from the Neutral Collection.
Yes, I must admit, this was pre-planned.
When I got all my fabrics, I knew that this fabulous cake
had to sit on a batter background.
Have you ever had cake batter ice cream at Cold Stone?
It's to die for!
LOL!

All the colors of the rainbow!
From left to right from Island Batik...

111509193 from the Flower Fields Collection
111512077 from the Flower Fields Collection
111501168 from the Flower Fields Collection
111505190 from the Flower Fields Collection
111502107 from the Country Fair Collection
111518113 from the Country Fair Collection
BE-25-F1 from the Blenders Collection
Almond from the Neutrals Collection

Don't let this block overwhelm you.
Just take it one step at a time.
There are lots of little embellishments, but they are easy enough.
Again, on the cake plate, I chose to cut out my little designs and thread paint in the centers,
but it's all about choice. Make yours all about you!

2 of our 3 row are complete.
Woozier!

If you haven't joined us yet, I hope this block inspires you!
Grab those threads and jump on in!

Till next time...

Keep on stitchin'

Summer time, summer time, sum sum summer time!

You can just hear that song running thru your heads, can't you?

I don't know about the rest of you, but it's hotter than a fire cracker here.  That being said, I do hope you had a wonderful 4th of July. Lots of celebrating, plenty of hot dogs and hamburgers, maybe a drinkie poo or two...     ;-)

Summer, means it's time for a new quiltie!
Something to change up the ole quiltin cave.

I warned you that I had become Kimberbell crazy...
yep, here's another of those wonderful patterns.

Baskets of berries

Lady bugs and bees...

Buttons, and bows...
lil yo-yo's
So many fun embellishments!

I just love the carrot patch!

Finished off with none other than those, infamous
flip flops. A staple of summer, in this house for sure.

A close up shows you just how cute they are!

I'd say there's no better way to kick back and enjoy
 the good ole Summertime!

Happy Stitchin!

Happy 4th!

I've become Kimberbell crazy!
These fun little patterns whip up in a jiffy with
just scraps for the most part.

This patriotic topper came from the book
Kimberbell Cuties
12 seasonal table toppers.

I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate the day here in the Moosestash!

Only would have been better if ole "Boo" had an Uncle Sam hat on him.
;-)

As I promised...today is also give a way day!
For you following along in my Easter Party QAL,
last week we were officially past the half way point.

Island Batik has generously provided me with a few of these Batik Bundles.

And with the help of Random.org, it looks like...

#21  PK SEWS
is our winner.
Que up those fireworks!
:-)

I've sent you an email for your mailing info.

Wishing you all, a fabulous 4th

Crazy for paper piecing

I've been on this crazy roll lately.  I've become a paper piecing maniac! LOL!

Again Katie Olson, with Fandom in Stitches, has let me test out, some of her designs.  Testing isn't really the right word. It's more like playing!  LOL!!

It's all about "Peter Pan",  "Hook" and "Neverland". Cause we never want to grow up!

Tic Toc, that mean ole croc.
Capt. Hooks greatest nemesis
All this gal needs is a watch!!
Remember she swallowed a watch along with Hooks hand.
You can hear her coming!
;-)

Skully
Polly wanna cracker?
I'm just "Crackers" for Skully!
He's the wise one who looks out for the kids in Neverland.

These patterns, along with many other "Hook" designs will be available later this year at

The patterns are all.. FREE...

Check them out and be sure to thank
Fandom in Stitches, along with all the designers who are so generous!
