In the Kitchen Stitchin' Blog Hop

Whoo hoo...this week we are sharing our kitchen projects! Lets face it, the kitchen really is the heart of the home, for most of us. Even the die hard, "I hate to cook" girl that I am, doesn't mean that I don't love my kitchen.

While mine is a bit unconventional, it's my favorite space, because I put in all the things that I absolutely love in it when we remodeled. And YES, the contractor thought I was a crazy person! What can I say.  LOL!!

My kitchen is where all the good times happen, "sew" it was time to make a fun new topper for my table. When I "spied" this cupcake fabric at the store...I went home and right to work on it.

This "crazy" bright, new party topper is just what my kitchen needed.
Sunglasses suggested.
LOL!

My "Crafters Edge" Crossover II machine and triangle dies made it quick and easy to cut out.
Once it was complete...

...there was something about the corners that caught my attention.

With the leftover fabric I made these potholders, that crazy enough
were the perfect fit for them.

OK, so the potholders are either just a silly decoration, or a fun mug rug,
either way they really put the "P" into party!!!
So if your in my area, grab your "shades" and drop in for a cuppa.
I will be happy to break out my bright topper for ya!
Heck, you might even find a "real" cupcake or two, too.
Hummm two, too...is that a thing???
Thanks Carla for being our "Hostess" with the "Mostess" this month.
My stitchin' is done and my kitchen is open.

While we wait on my cupcake delivery, check out my fellow bloggers today.

  13. I love that you have an " unconventional kitchen ". A kitchen should be up to the owner and if a deerhead and bright tabletopper are perfect for you, so be it. I love the closeup of how nice the corners are.

  14. I have a metal art airplane propeller and a big pig picture on my kitchen wall so I would feel right at home in your kitchen. Just don't serve me deer meat because I couldn't take those big brown eyes making me feel guilty. LOL Seriously, I love your kitchen! The table topper is incredible in those fabrics and it looks right at home in your kitchen. You rocked the kitchen theme on this one!

  35. I like my crafter edge dies but have had trouble with the 1/4 square triangles getting them to come out the correct size. Have you played with the 1/4 square triangles? Any suggestions?
