Orange You Glad Blog Hop

Orange you glad Carla hosted this fun hop?

Well, I sure am...my sewing room has been a mess.  Looking for things can be a lesson in futility, some days!  It's the little stuff, that seems to get lost in "OZ".

So I got busy and put together this fun bag, called "A Place for Everything", from byAnnie.com

This 10" x 13 1/2" x 4" bag has pockets....lots and lots of pockets.
4 different styles you can mix and match to your liking.

The pockets attach using hook and loop tape, making them easy to remove.

It's perfect not only for home, but for when we can sneak away on retreats and classes.

Did you happen to spy my headlamp?
Don't laugh...this has been a lifesaver, when I needed it.
Where else can you get an extra shot of light for under a buck?
Ok, I may look like a "Minion"...
...but you gotta love WalMart!
It's in the camping department.

In addition to all my sewing supplies, I found a little mat that fit perfectly, long with rulers and templates, extra fusible web, applique sheet. Just about everything I could think of, that I might need.

Thanks to "Crafters Edge", personalizing my bag was it was easy to do.

This is a little "subliminal" message to myself...

...I "LOVE my new bag and "HOPE" it keeps me organized.

This pattern has been in my "stash" for a very very long time...like maybe since 2013!
They have since updated the pattern and added fun new things. It's bigger, has shoulder straps, and pockets on the outside. Oh, it looks like I need to purchase the new updated version. LOL!!
You can check it out for yourself

Orange I happy?

Why, yes I am and with the little extra leftover fabric I quilted for my bag,
I even made a couple of accessory bags. My rotary cutter and scissors are now safely stored!

A big thanks to you Carla, for getting me on track, to organization!

  2. Yes! Yes I am glad Carla hosted this blog hop... OMIGOSH! I'm fairly new to this format, but I made my way through Monday and came out of the rabbithole unscathed. Mostly! :) I will get it figured out. <3 and Blessings

  5. I feel like I need this pattern; except it would probably linger in my pile rather than actually get me organized!

  6. HOPE...yep, a perfect word for that organizational bag. Every time I get a bit organized, I hope to keep it that way. :) Wonderful use of that orange fabric, Joan.

  7. THis is so great, Joan. That bag is so perfect and I really like how you personalized it. In orange, the bag should stand out and not get hidden too. Thank you for joining the Orange You Glad blog hop!

  8. Your bag is beautiful and oh-so-useful! It's amazing how many of those "little things" walk away and hide lol. I'm still searching for a small pair of scissors that somehow vanished from my sewing room

  9. As a bag lady myself, I love functional bags and Annie does have a lot of them. I used to test bags for her, so I know her bags are great. I love that you added the CE appliques to personalize your bag. That orange fabric will stand out so you don't misplace the bag, lol!

  12. This is a "must have" bag for all quilters. I'm a bit afraid of starting making it, as I think I will find it too difficult. But I'd like to try. Have a nice blog hop week.

  13. What a fantastic bag, Joan! I love the use of orange and the fruit wedges! I have looked at that pattern for a long time--may have to get the updated version! It would be great for hauling some must-haves to sewing functions.

  14. Oh love the bag! Great idea, and while I hate making bags, I may need to break down and make one. Love the fabrics you used also.

  15. You made Annie's bag pattern into a beauty with orange, love, and hope. Love it! I'm not sure I have the know-how to take on that fancy of a bag, but I might just have to give it a try. I need some orange-inization!

  23. I'm not sure I could deal with that much efficiency. I get all sorts of things stored away and then I don't remember where I put the bag for safe keeping. LOL That is a great bag and the up date sounds wonderful. I like that you added the safety bags for your cutter and scissors because your fingers and what they manage to produce are very, very important to us.

  24. Your little organizer bag is fabulous! I love that the pockets are removeable although I'm not sure that I would remove them because, knowing me, they would never get reattached.
