Best of 2020 Linky Party

Cheryl at Meadow Mist Designs holds a best of Linky Party, that I just can't wait for every year. It's always fun to look back at everyone's best and even catch a few things I may have missed throughout the year. This year is even more special, because for so many it hasn't been the best year and these little feel good moments can help keep us all sane and grounded.

So here are my 5 top "Bests" for 2020.

"Gnome in my Garden"
For "It's a Garden Party Row Along" hosted by Marian at "Seams to Be Sew".
Getting out in our gardens was the perfect way to pass time this year.
Marian couldn't have picked a better theme for this years row along!

"Bringing new life to an old quilt"
One of my favorite projects this year.
Taking my oldest boys rag-tag quilt apart and re-working it into a new quilt for our first grandbaby, was truly a labor of love. This 38 year old quilt has a brand new life again.
And this "Nana" has the little girl she always dreamed of. LOL!

"Race Car Dreams"
The story and the quilts supporting it all.
Daddy's old quilt and a brand new one for his little girl.
As well as poem that told the story.
"Spoiler Alert"...check back on Wednesday for an update on that poem.
I have met the best online friends in the world, and I'm excited to share, on the
"2021 My Stitching Resolution" blog hop post.

"Winter Blues Buster"
The winter blues blog hop hosted by Carla at "Creatin in the Sticks" was the perfect way to drive away a gloomy day. This fun Dresden fan, all glitzed up with crystals.

"Jolly Old Santa"
Carol from "Just Let me Quilt" hosted a Christmas in July hop. It was just the push I needed to work on a pattern that's been in my pile for way to long.
I finally broke out my pencils and learned how to paint a face.

While this year will go down as one of those years, for many...
...this sweet little elf made it all worthwhile for us!

Regardless, 2020 can go.
I'm sharing this pattern, with anyone who agrees with me!
So lets put on our smiles...
and just "Let it go"

Come on 2021...

You can stop in and see everyone "Best of 2020"
and show us your best of too!

til next time...
Keep on Stitchin'

  6. Great to see your highlights but the bestest of all is that wee little bundle of joy. We had one too, born in January before all the scary stuff hit. Here's to a less stressful 2021 and all the projects we can create!
